One of my stories has been translated into Farsi by Asadollah Amraee, and many others by Jalil Jafari, two of which have been published in the Iranian journal, Golestaneh Magazine. Currently, I'm an Associate editor for Narrative Magazine. In 2011, I was awarded the Carol Houck Smith Contributor Scholarship for the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference.

Why are all you lit bloggers so hot to trot for Kyle Minor? His stories are so dark they are almost unbearable. I want to be entertained when I read. I don't want my heart to be ripped out.

Obviously, Anon, you've underestimated Minor's fans. We find the dark entertaining. That's the whole point. We're a bit rabid that way.
